If the colour has faded significantly, a silicone-based exterior coating by a specialist is the correct approach rather than paint.
Will silicone render work on a solid brick wall?
Yes — silicone render is specified for solid masonry as well as cavity walls. On solid-walled properties, the breathability of the render system is important: silicone render allows water vapour to pass out through the wall, which is correct for solid construction. The substrate preparation and primer selection need to be matched to the masonry type. We assess this during the survey.
