Silicone Render

Transform your home's exterior with a finish that self-cleans, holds its colour and never needs repainting — the premium Yorkshire choice for low maintenance and lasting good looks.

What You Gain

Real benefits for your home — not just features on a spec sheet

  • Your walls stay clean without effort

The hydrophobic silicone topcoat causes rainwater to bead and run off, carrying surface dirt with it, so elevations stay cleaner for longer with minimal upkeep.

  • No trapped damp — walls that breathe

Vapour-permeable by design, letting moisture escape from the wall rather than trapping it — reducing the risk of damp compared with older, less breathable render systems.

  • Stays crack-free as your home moves and settles

The polymer-modified base coat and reinforcing mesh allow the system to accommodate minor building movement without the hairline cracking common in traditional renders.

  • Holds its colour for decades — no repainting cycle

Pigment is mixed through the topcoat, not just painted on, so colour resists fading from years of UV exposure and won't flake or peel like a painted finish.

  • Your choice of colour — matched to your street or your style

A wide standard palette plus bespoke colour matching, so the finish can be specified to suit anything from a stone-built period semi to a contemporary new build.

Colour Range

Your choice of colour — mixed in, not painted on

Silicone render colour is integral to the topcoat, so it can't peel or fade the way a painted finish does. Choose from our standard palette or ask about bespoke colour matching.

Our Process

How we deliver it

A clear, considered process from first survey to final sign-off — no surprises along the way.

  1. 01

    Survey & assessment

We inspect the substrate, check for damp or structural issues, and confirm the right system build-up for your property before any work is scheduled.

  2. 02

    Preparation

Scaffolding is erected, surrounding areas masked and protected, and the substrate prepared — including any necessary repairs to existing render or brickwork.

  3. 03

    Base coat & mesh

A polymer-modified base coat is applied with a fully embedded fibreglass reinforcing mesh, forming the structural layer the silicone topcoat bonds to.

  4. 04

    Silicone topcoat

The through-coloured silicone finish is applied and textured to the chosen grain size, giving the elevation its final colour and finish in a single coat.

  5. 05

    Inspection & handover

A final quality inspection, full site clean-down, and a clear aftercare guide before scaffolding comes down and we hand the property back to you.

The System

What's included

Every layer of the system is specified for performance, not just appearance.

  • Polymer-modified base coat

A flexible, high-adhesion base coat that bonds to masonry, blockwork or insulation board and carries the reinforcing mesh.

  • Fibreglass reinforcing mesh

Fully embedded within the base coat to resist cracking and absorb minor thermal and structural movement in the substrate.

  • Silicone silane-siloxane topcoat

A through-coloured, vapour-permeable, hydrophobic topcoat available in fine, medium or coarse textures.

  • Stainless steel beading

Corner, stop and movement beads in stainless steel rather than PVC, for a crisper line and longer service life.

  • Breathable system build-up

Every layer is specified to work together as a vapour-open system, compatible with solid masonry, cavity walls and external wall insulation.

  • Manufacturer-accredited installation

Installed in line with manufacturer specification by an accredited team, keeping the system's full warranty intact.

Manufacturer-backed WarrantyFully Insured

Manufacturer-Backed Warranty

We install to full manufacturer specification so the system's own warranty stays valid. On top of that you get our own workmanship guarantee — if anything falls short, we come back and put it right. No quibbles, no call centres.

FAQs

Common questions

How long does silicone render last?

A correctly specified and installed silicone render system typically performs well for 25 years or more, retaining its colour and self-cleaning properties with only occasional gentle washing.

Can silicone render go over existing pebbledash or render?

In many cases yes, provided the existing substrate is sound — we assess this during survey. Where the existing finish is loose, blown or unsuitable, we'll recommend removal first (see our Pebbledash Removal service) or repairs before rendering.

Does silicone render need painting?

No. The colour is mixed through the topcoat itself, so there's no painting required at installation and no repainting cycle to budget for later, unlike a painted render finish.

How long does installation take?

A typical semi-detached property takes around one to two weeks from scaffold-up to scaffold-down, weather dependent. We'll confirm an accurate programme during your survey.

Is scaffolding included in the quote?

Yes — scaffolding, site protection and a full clean-down are all included as standard in every silicone render quote, with no hidden extras.
